Avatar: The Way Of Water Movie Review
Early reviews of James Cameron’s long-awaited sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water, indicate that it may surpass the success of the 2009 original. Avatar 2 appears to have delivered and built on the visual legacy created in the first film despite spending 13 years in a state of relative limbo. Despite all of The Way of Water’s praise, there are some common complaints about a franchise that, despite its influence, may not be as well-liked as other science fiction epics.
Avatar: The Way of Water’s early reviews often demonstrate that director James Cameron has maintained his emphasis on the film’s visual effects over anything else. The result is genuinely novel and appears to have stretched the bounds of filmmaking. Standing out from the crowd is a difficult task in modern film because jaw-dropping effects are so common.
But many viewers claim that the movie accomplishes that. There is no denying that Avatar: The Way of Water is one of the most visually stunning films ever, even though some of its weaker aspects—storytelling being one of them—do not get a pass. The early reviews of Avatar 2 reveal the mixed response from different corners and flooded social media platforms with truly appreciating the movie for its stunning graphics & visuals somewhat losing storyline along with its overstretched runtime of 3hrs and 12 minutes (192 minutes).
“Undoubtedly, Avatar: The Way of Water is a boundless visual spectacular show. The protagonists could develop a little bit more, but overall, it’s a better, more nuanced story with strong emotion than the first. It is undoubtedly lengthy and features some of the best 3D visuals and techniques.”

It’s impossible to discuss “Avatar: The Way of Water” without coming off as overly dramatic. James Cameron’s follow-up, however, is a truly breathtaking cinematic experience that will leave you floating on a high from a successful film. The Motion Picture Association has given 20th Century Studios’ “Avatar: The Way of Water,” which opens in theaters globally and India on 16th December (Friday), a PG-13 rating for “partial nudity, intense action, sequences of strong violence, and some strong language” while IMDb rated it as 8.2 and Rotten Tomatoes has given certified fresh status rating it 78%.
In an unprecedented move, considering the tons of buzz generated and euphoria created around the movie, Disney asked multiplexes in Mumbai and neighboring cities to play Avatar: The Way Of Water at midnight and even early morning that too from the day of release. However, midnight screenings are not uncommon nowadays in India.
James Cameron’s POV About The Future Of Avatar Movie Sequel
After Avatar (2009), Cameron has a four-movie plan that will culminate with Avatar 5 in December 2028, but he has acknowledged that the third movie might end up being the final one if the sequel doesn’t perform as well at the box office.
Let’s not get puzzled by the futuristic thoughts and enjoy the dive in the clear and charismatic water surrounded by Tulkun (Whale like creatures) and “NaVi” people and embedded with luminous graphics. It appears like no filmmaker can come even close to Cameron when it comes to making technologically groundbreaking cinema, for the time being.
